What to Expect with Browlift/Forehead Lift Procedures Surgery:

A brow lift, also known as forehead lift, is the surgical correction of drooping eyebrows, frown lines and wrinkles across the forehead.  This undesirable sign of aging may make you look older, tired and/or angry. 

The brow lift procedure elevates the brow and rejuvenates the look of the upper lid and eyes.  Dr. Mentz is an expert in the endoscopic brow lift technique as apposed to the coronal brow lift.  The endoscope is a small telescope camera that helps guide the surgeon in repositioning the forehead muscles to lift the brow.  With the endoscopic technique Dr. Mentz’s incisions will only be an eighth of an inch and are hidden inside the hairline. 

This technique provides for better results, less scarring and avoids that startled look that can occur with come conventional procedures. 

Dr. Mentz is a well established expert in facial procedures especially with regards to the brow lift.  He has lectured internationally and written a book chapter on the subject.  Although the brow lift can have a great impact by itself it is often done in combination with eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty), facelift, and/or skin resurfacing procedures.

The endoscopic brow lift is a one hour procedure performed under local or general anesthesia. There will be no visible scars and stitches are removed in 5-10 days. Bruising and swelling is minimal and the patient can usually return to work in 7-10 days. The operation is easily combined with other cosmetic procedures.
